What are the settings for my email client?

This article will detail all the server settings you might need in order to set your eMail client to check eMail at "yourdomain.com".

The TwoRebels Hositng control panel (cPanel) provides an auto-configuration script for some popular eMail clients in the "eMail account -> More " area of your account cpanel. You can manually configure your mail client using the settings below:

Username: This is your entire eMail address including the part after the @ symbol.
Password: This is the password you chose while setting up the email account.

Secure SSL/TLS Settings (Recommended)
Incoming Server: mail.yourdomain.com ( * substitute your actual domain name )
Incoming Server Ports: IMAP: Port 993 or POP3: Port 995( use SSL/TLS connection security )
Outgoing Server: mail.yourdomain.com ( * substitute your actual domain name )
Outgoing Server Port: SMTP: 465 ( use SSL/TLS connection security )
Authentication (normal password) is required for IMAP, POP3, and SMTP.
Your "username" is the complete eMail address including the @whatever.com

If you choose to use an unsecure form of email retrieval you may do so...

  • Use port 143 for imap or port 110 for pop
  • Use port 25 for smtp
  • No connection security

Note: If you repeatedly fail to login from incorrect passwords enough times... your IP will be blocked from the server because now it thinks your a hacker! If this happens to you, give the shop a call or submit a ticket from your client area. Go here and log in
